About us

Originally established in 1985 by John McClelland the current Managing Director, on behalf of the Sellers group of Leeds, under the name of PDS UK Limited and located in Rugby.
John moved on to become the Non Food Operations Director for Harris Distribution, part of the TDG Plc, responsible for a number of major clients which included Comet, Prestige Housewares, Clydesdale Retail, London Electricity Board, and RHM.

In 1995, John returned to purchase the Company, relocating it to the Burtonwood RAF Base, just outside Warrington and changing the name to PDS International Limited, reflecting the global brands that were its clients.

Throughout the next 18 years, PDS continued to grow and in addition to the usual warehousing and distribution services, increasing the range of services on offer from a single location, to include:

In 2000, a young apprentice, Laura Barton, now Callister, joined the team and has worked her way up to become Commercial Operations Manager. Laura reports directly to the MD and is responsible for all the day to day running of the Company and is supported by John Winrow, the Warehouse Manager.

During her time at PDS, and through night school, Laura earned a First Class Honours Degree in Business Management and IT, skills which have been and are today very important to the continued success of PDS.

To more clearly reflect the role and services of PDS, a further name change to PDS Logistics Limited was made in 2013, at the same time moving to a more purpose built location on the TRIO development, just outside Liverpool. This development is situated on the main spine road of the well-established Knowsley Industrial Estate which is well connected to the region and motorway network, sitting 10 miles north east of Liverpool and 32 miles west of Manchester, and offered PDS excellent expansion opportunities.

Currently in the process of taking over the second high bay unit on the TRIO Acornfield Road site, installing narrow aisle racking and energy efficient lighting, and already discussing with the site Landlord to take the third, and remaining unit by spring of 2017.
